About the coffee Leikun Farm Coffee is produced by 29-year-old farmer Leikun Zegai Dagnachew in the Sidamo region of Ethiopia. It is grown at an impressive altitude of 2,300 metres, which contributes to the development of an extremely bright and complex flavour profile.

Best brew It is suitable for espresso because of its medium to light roast. To highlight the bright and sweet profile of this coffee, we recommend methods such as filter coffee (V60, Chemex or aeropress. Use a coffee to water ratio of 1:16 and a water temperature of 92-96°C to bring out the notes of berries, strawberries and cream. |

About the variety and the process: Heirloom is a generic name for traditional Ethiopian coffee varieties that are wild and genetically diverse. It is one of the oldest and most unique genetic sources of coffee in the world, characteristic of the region. Heirloom coffees offer exceptional complexity and richness of flavours, including floral notes, citrus, tropical fruits and sweet spices. A natural process where the coffee cherries are left whole to dry naturally in the sun. The cherries are spread out on raised beds where they are turned regularly to ensure even drying. This method allows the sugars and fruit notes from the fruit skin to penetrate the berries, creating a rich and sweet flavour profile with pronounced fruity and floral aromas. The natural processing highlights the brightness and complexity of the coffee, making it extremely attractive to connoisseurs. . |
