According to various global statistics, as well as our own observations, the percentage of decaf coffee enthusiasts is constantly growing. This is because more and more people are making informed choices in search of the best product for their lifestyle, and often hear in the doctor’s office: “And be careful – only one coffee a day.” For many, this sentence feels like a verdict. How do you start your day without the aroma and taste of your favorite drink? This is pure torment…
That’s why, at DABOV Specialty Coffee, we decided to develop a special line of decaf coffees – completely decaf and half-caf, while preserving the flavor, because we made them from your favorite specialty coffee so that the taste in the cup is always perfect.

Late Night Decaf – A Decaffeinated Specialty Coffee with Notes of Peach, Red Apple, and Brown Sugar
With Late Night Decaf from DABOV Specialty Coffee, we offer you a coffee experience that you can enjoy whenever you want, without concerns about specific medical conditions that may restrict caffeine consumption.
In the package, we’ve included a special batch of Colombian sugar cane decaf – coffee that has undergone a decaffeination process using sugarcane. Has this led to an additional flavor note? Probably. Here are the notes: the unique aroma of ripe peach is noticeable right after grinding and stands out as the strongest note after brewing. Following the intense peach flavor, you’ll enjoy the fruity freshness of red apple and subtle nuances of cane sugar. The combination of these notes results in a sweet coffee with a balanced flavor and elegant acidity.
A coffee where the decaffeination process hasn’t taken away the taste!
The decaffeination process is carried out with the help of ethyl acetate, naturally extracted from sugarcane. Since it is derived from sugar, it binds with the chlorogenic acid in the coffee, initiating the decaffeination process. This process allows us to offer you decaffeinated coffee that is indistinguishable in taste and richness from regular coffee, without the stimulating effects of caffeine.
Semi-Decaf – The Best of Both Worlds
At DABOV Specialty Coffee, we decided to create the perfect combination of specialty coffee with caffeine and decaffeinated specialty coffee, allowing you to enjoy your favorite drink without excessive caffeine intake. The flavor is a blend of sweet notes of dates, raisins, and caramel – a combination you can’t miss. This coffee’s sweetness lingers long in the aftertaste.
Semi Decaf is an enchanting blend, inviting you to make a cup of coffee even in the late hours of the day, which you can drink without a trace of guilt. The caffeine content will always be 1/2. Why? Because we created a blend from the same Mexican coffee, coming from the Fatima farm. You are well-acquainted with these coffees, as well as the owner – Ernesto Perez, who won 1st place in the 2024 Cup of Excellence. We are happy to offer you his production.
How did we do it?
We selected a batch from the Fatima farm, then separated a portion and sent it to the largest Mexican decaffeination factory. There, through the Mountain Water Process, the caffeine was removed from the coffee. Both coffees arrived at our coffee roastery, where we mixed 1/2 of the caffeinated coffee with 1/2 of the decaffeinated coffee. And so, the resulting blend we called Semi Decaf – or coffee with 1/2 the caffeine in the cup.
The reduced caffeine content gives you two unique possibilities:
1. Not only to drink coffee at any time of the day but also…
2. To drink twice as much coffee! 🙂
This is the good news. When your doctor says: “And be careful – only one coffee a day!”, you can immediately respond: “Yes, or two Semi-Decafs.”
Great news that mathematicians would hardly decipher because, in our case: 2=1 🙂
