Why did we choose it?
Colombia Geisha COE #21 2023 is from the famous Geisha variety, known for its refined and subtle taste that fascinates connoisseurs of specialty coffee. The Geisha variety is among the most prized and most expensive on the market, thanks to its limited availability and high standards of cultivation and processing. Grown at an altitude of 1,900 meters, this coffee develops an exceptional flavor profile with delicate acidity and leaves a lasting and memorable aftertaste after every sip. |

Where does it come from: Johan Gutierrez Falla, a fifth-generation coffee farmer, is the heart and soul behind this coffee. On his farm Monteverde, located in the region of Tulima, Colombia, he works together with his family, which includes four generations of farmers, passing on their knowledge and skills from generation to generation. Johan combines traditional methods with modern technologies, which allows him to create coffee of exceptional quality and participate in prestigious competitions such as the Cup of Excellence. He is proud that his family is among the finalists of this prestigious competition. |

Best brew? The Honey process gives the coffee sweetness, density, and complex flavor notes that include fruity and floral aromas. We recommend that you prepare this exceptional coffee on both an espresso machine and a filter – V60, Chemex, Aeropress, or French Press. Each sip will give you a pronounced acidity and distinct floral notes that will make your coffee experience unforgettable. |

Process and variety: Variety: The coffee is of the rare and exclusive Geisha variety, which originates from the Gori Gesha forest in Ethiopia. This variety is known for its delicate and exotic flavor notes and is very demanding to the climatic conditions, which makes it extremely sought after and valuable. Process: “Geisha” from Finca Monteverde goes through a unique processing process similar to “Honey” fermentation. The coffee cherries are not completely removed, but part of the pulp is left to ferment on the beans for 72 hours. After that, the beans are left to dry in the sun for about twenty days. This method results in a rich taste of ripe fruit, floral notes, and sweetness that will saturate your senses throughout the day. |

The taste? The taste of Geisha Monteverde is a real experience. You will feel sensual notes of juicy grapes that reveal delicate acidity, floral aromas of jasmine, and the sweetness of ripe apricots. This coffee will take you on a journey through the rich and varied world of specialty coffee. |
